"When we developed textiles for the collections in the 1990s our studio was exploring endless ways to turn old techniques upside down to create something new. Classic weaving techniques like the potholders we made as kids (and as adults if you are Amy Sedaris) were given a deluxe makeover with shiny satin and gross grain ribbons in varying widths. We hand wove panels for suits, coats, bags and pillows. I was delighted to find a trove of unused panels in our archive and decided to revive them into a new collection of home accents for Maker Shop. The pillow backs are made of ultrasuede, a synthetic suede developed for Halston in the 1970s and brought back to life by Todd Oldham Collection in the 1990s." - Todd
